Description

This is Louisburg Fire Department’s first motorized apparatus purchased. It was repurchased for $15,000 from Jackie Lee, the third of a string of three private owners who had owned the truck after the fire department removed it from service and sold it in 1952. The truck underwent a complete frame-off restoration performed by Dennis Moser of Allied Welding in North Wilkesboro, NC. in 2017-2019. The department has the original operator’s manual that came with the truck. In December 2021, the truck was revealed to the town citizens at a dedication ceremony of the town’s new fire museum where it is on permanent display. The fire truck participates in town parades and events.
